This was the very first Church established in Chicago. Showing the impact and importance that Methodist have and continue to have in Willard and the surrounding areas.

First United Methodist Church


Built in 1980, 11 years after the EUB Church and The Methodist Church officially merged on April 23, 1968, forming The United Methodist Church. 

The merger symbolized a shared commitment to Wesleyan theology, social justice, and global outreach while blending the rich traditions of both denominations.

The First United Methodist Church is a cornerstone of its community, offering a welcoming space for worship, spiritual growth, and service.
